This report sets out the Committee’s consideration of the recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly on Drugs Use, informed by the extensive evidence gathered throughout its deliberations. In doing so, the Committee seeks to contribute to the development of an effective, evidence-informed and sustainable national response to drug use in Ireland that prioritises health, dignity, prevention, recovery and community wellbeing, while also addressing the harms caused by organised criminal activity and drug-related exploitation.
