The primary objective of this work was to establish a meaningful community engagement process and an evidence base for community engagement within the Sláintecare Healthy Community Programme (SHCP) in Dublin City. It sought to provide a structured approach to assessing and prioritising social determinants of health (SDOH) and health needs and assets in the Sláintecare areas, and to inform the place-based approach being undertaken as part of the SHCP.
