The Annual Report details the Department’s activities, and achievements in 2023. The Department’s priorities are set out in the Programme for Government – Our Shared Future. This was the third and final year of the Department’s Statement of Strategy 2021 - 2023 which outlines how it aims to deliver on the vision of a fair, equal and inclusive society where rights are respected, and where everyone can reach their potential. In 2023 the work of the Department, including its agencies and funded bodies, helped those most vulnerable by continuing to enhance the lives of children, young people, adults, families and communities, recognising diversity and promoting equality of opportunity.
