Objectives

This module combines theory, practical application and practice based theory from local, national & International guest speakers/lecturers. It is a response to the current impetus within Community, Education, justice, Health, Social Work and Social Care sectors to enable them to work confidently with young people and their families whose lives are challenged by someone’s alcohol or other drug use.

Content

One semester block delivery. The course combines theory and practical application. Delivered by tutors from the Master of Science in Therapeutic Interventions for Alcohol and other Drugs.

Target Group

Minimum requirement: Level 8 (Hons) Degree in a relevant discipline and preferably working directly or indirectly with individuals, families and children within the Community, Education, Justice, Health and Social Work and Social Care sector
