Objectives

By the end of the training participants will:
• Be confident in developing an alternative approach to drug misuse prevention through environmental education
• Be confident in facilitating life skill development in young people using interactive education methodologies and motivational activities
• Be able to facilitate personal development in young people through their engagement with the environment (practical project work)
• Be confident and able to use the ECO-CHOICES resource pack (incl. in training fee)

Content

This short course explores an alternative approach to drug misuse prevention using environmental education as a resource for positive personal development of young people.

Target Group

Community workers, youth workers. This training is particularly suited for those working with “at-risk” young people and SPHE teachers.
