The Community Policing Forum was established on the recommendation of an inter-agency drugs project and aims to promote greater dialogue between members of the community and the gardaí. A total of 28 local committees represent residents of the area. These committees arrange meetings with gardaí as issues arise, and wider forum meetings, attended by senior gardaí, local authority officials and public representatives, are held every three months.
