The public opinion poll analysed in this report was carried out in the fifteen Member States between 27 April and 10 June 2002 for Eurobarometer 57.2, at the request of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Justice and Home Affairs, and organised by the Press and Communication Service's "Analysis of Public Opinion" Unit. The report analyses the attitudes and opinions of young citizens of the European Union aged 15 to 24 regarding drugs under the following headings: reasons for trying drugs, difficulties in stopping using drugs, consequences of the use of drugs, dangers of different substances, possible sources of information on drugs, management of drug-related problems
