This study had had two primary purposes: to ascertain the quality of life in a specific location in Dublin's North Inner City,with a particular focus on the impact of drug related crime and anti-social behaviour; and to develop and pilot a research instrument to aid in ascertaining quality of life. This study shows that drug-related crime has impacted severely on the quality of life of the local area. The anti-social activities of only a few people can cause large disruption and difficulties for a large number of people. The study concludes that the drug problem has severely and negatively impacted on the quality of life in the North Dublin Inner City.
