This revised framework builds on the original foundations and adds a holistic wellbeing perspective with streamlined themes, assigning clear actions and responsibilities. The Framework is a whole campus, stakeholder based, student centred approach to mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention. It also provides an implementation and monitoring roadmap to enable HEIs to assess, review, reflect and plan their support for student mental health and wellbeing, which is accompanied by a suite of documents to inform HEI mental health policies; mental health in the curriculum; and resources of international best practice. Now is a natural time to widen and broaden the Framework to include a holistic preventative approach involving all stakeholders across the higher education community, recognising the needs of students regardless of how they engage with their institution, including on-campus, part-time, blended and distance learners. Feeny, et al., (2025) highlight that whole campus approaches to student mental health in higher education are gaining traction, but implementation remains conceptually fragmented and inconsistent
