How addictive is vaping? What's the best way to stop? And where should vapers go for help? Martina Blake, national Lead for the HSE Tobacco Free Ireland program, joins karl Henry on this week’s episode of The Real Health podcast.

Karl spoke to the vaping expert about the rapid rise of vaping, particularly among young people. She explains that while e-cigarettes were once considered a quitting aid, evidence shows they have stalled progress on reducing smoking and increase the risk of teenagers later becoming smokers. Martina describes vaping as inhaling chemical aerosols, not harmless vapour, with flavours and nicotine driving addiction and health concerns.

For those affected by vaping the HSE website Vaping and Young People which covers signs of vaping, if your child vapes, how to quit vaping, nicotine pouches (snus), if you want to report vaping issues. [23 minutes]
