P.338 There has been a 24% drop in the annual number of new HIV infections in western and central Europe and North America since 2010 (Figure 8.1), and the number of AIDS-related deaths has declined by 34% (Figure 8.1). Numbers of new HIV infections among sex workers and their clients, however, have not declined at the same rate (Figure 8.2) (1).
