P.79 Drug use - We support the decriminalisation of all drug users and the legalisation and regulation of cannabis. To deliver on the operational recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly on Drug Use, we will:

• Pursue a health-led approach to drugs policy.
• Retain a dedicated Cabinet Committee, chaired by the Taoiseach, to ensure a whole-of-government response. • Engage with drug users and stakeholders in policy design and implementation.
• Prioritise disadvantaged communities and prisoners in drugs policy.
• Focus on harm reduction by introducing drug-checking facilities at festivals and providing for safe consumption rooms.
