This webinar presented a review of all fatal poisonings related to novel synthetic opioids (NSOs) in Australia from 2000-2021.
‘Novel’ synthetic opioids have emerged as a clinical and public health concern across the world. In this webinar Professor Darke presented a national clinical profile of all Australian fatalities related to these drugs. This included case characteristics and circumstances of death, the toxicology of cases, and major autopsy findings.
