This webinar explore the effects of the NSW 'lockout laws' in displacing assault to areas surrounding Kings Cross and the CBD.
The presentation described the circumstances leading up to the introduction of the so-called ‘lockout laws’ in NSW; laws that imposed stringent restrictions on the sale of alcohol in Kings Cross and the Sydney CBD. It also examined the long-term impact of those laws on reported rates of assault in Kings Cross, the Sydney CBD and areas surrounding those zones.
