Alcohol is the cause of around 900 incidences of cancer in Ireland each year, and 500 of these patients will die of their disease. These sobering facts will be highlighted at a public talk tonight (Wed, December 7) on the links between alcohol and cancer.
The Irish Cancer Society event ‘Decoding Cancer – Alcohol and Cancer: The Sobering Facts’ will see Addiction Psychiatrist Dr Peter Rice address the implications of what we drink on how likely we are to develop cancer.
