The Adfam Evidence Pack is a source of research, statistics, policy and guidance to help local organisations in the United Kingdom make the case for supporting the families of drug and alcohol misusers. It sets out key arguments emphasising the resource savings incurred by family support, the positive contribution families can make to treatment and recovery, and the importance of supporting families in their own right, as well as detailing the local decision-makers that might need to be convinced by each one. It can be used together with Adfam’s 'Surviving the Transition: Local Structures and Networks', to make the best case possible for continued investment in family support at the local level.
