In 2011, recorded Burglaries and Frauds rise, falls seen in most other groups In 2011, Group 07 Burglary and related offences rose by 7.9%, while Group 09 Fraud, deception and related offences rose by 6.3%. There were 76,924 recorded Group 08 Theft and related offences in this period, a slight increase (+0.1%) on the 2010 total of 76,829.

All other groups showed decreases in recorded offences in 2011. Notable decreases were observed in Group 03 Attempts or threats to murder, assaults, harassments and related offences (-6.2%), Group 04 Dangerous or negligent acts (-17.8%), Group 10 Controlled drug offences (-11.5%) and Group 13 Public order and other social code offences (-10.8%).
