This is a report on a study conducted by the Mid-Western Health Board to assess the levels of alcohol use and misuse and to ascertain the unmet needs in the existing alcohol treatment service provision in the area. The study focuses specifically on the lack of residential services in Limerick, the treatment available through Psychiatric Sector B of the health board and the Southill area.
