This second annual report by the Norwegian Institute for Alcohol and Drug Research (SIRUS) on the drug situation in Norway has been prepared for the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction - EMCDDA.

The report largely follows the guidelines provided for national reporting to the EMCDDA. However, some themes have been given greater attention where we have felt that the information provided can be of special interest internationally. We have also chosen to present more epidemiological data. Most of the data are from 2001.
