The National Standards for Community (Residential) Mental Health Centres set clear expectations for delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred and recovery-focused care and treatment across Ireland. They provide a set of themes and criteria for how centres should be governed and staffed, and how care should be delivered. They emphasise strong leadership and governance, including effective systems for gathering feedback, managing complaints, protecting personal information and driving continuous quality improvement.
