In 2025, NYCI and its members continued to operate in an increasingly challenging environment, shaped by continued cost‑of‑living pressures, workforce shortages, and rising levels of need among young people.
Young people’s lives are also becoming more complex, with many increasingly exposed to hate, misinformation and polarisation online. This makes safe, trusted offline youth work spaces more important than ever.
