3238. Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health the status of the Review of Access to Cannabis for Medical Use, following the appointment of a chair; if the Review Group has held its first meeting [26569/26]
Minister for Health: I propose to take Questions Nos. 2820 and 3238 together.
The Chairperson of the clinical review group has been appointed. The appointment of members of the review group, including clinical experts, and the drafting of the terms of reference will be done in consultation with the Chair in April 2026.
It is intended that the Review will last for one year from commencement of the Group's work.

3203. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Health the plans to allow recipients of prescribed medicinal cannabis in the North to legally carry and use their medicine in the State (details supplied). [26439/26]
Minister for Health: Under the Misuse of Drugs Acts 1977-2016 cannabis is a schedule 1 controlled drug subject to the strictest levels of control. There is no mutual recognition of prescriptions for Schedule 1 controlled drugs and it is not permitted for visitors to bring Schedule 1 controlled drugs into the country.
