- Deputy Albert Dolan asked the Minister for Health to provide a list of all addiction step-down facilities currently operating in County Galway; who operates each facility; the public body or agency that holds responsibility for their regulation or oversight; and the range of supports available at each location including counselling, medical care and so on, in order to ensure that individuals recovering from addiction are receiving appropriate, high-quality, support and that all such facilities meet required standards of care and service provision. [40920/25]
- Deputy Albert Dolan asked the Minister for Health if there is a centralised register or list of all addiction step-down facilities in the State; and the formal process by which such facilities are established or acquired including the criteria used to assess their suitability, the consultation or engagement required with local stakeholders, and the regulatory or quality assurance checks applied prior to approval or funding. [40921/25]
Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, Minister of State at the Department of Health: I propose to take Questions Nos. 2571 and 2572 together.
There is an interactive map of publicly-funded drug treatment and drug-related family support services, which can be accessed at www.drugsandalcohol.ie/services_map .
The online tool is a partnership between the Department of Health and the Health Research Board and marks the first time a visual database of services has been produced. It features 442 services in receipt of public funding, including services provided directly by the Health Service Executive (HSE) or community-based organisations and residential services funded via the HSE.
As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
Question No. 2572 answered with Question No. 2571.
