This diary helps people who are cutting down their drinking to focus on what they are trying to achieve. The diary runs over seven weeks. This means it will let people see if their drinking follows any patterns. They can then think of ways to break these habits. People can also note what their mood was like before they started drinking. They can then see what any consequences of their drinking were.
[Please note that, in Ireland a standard drink has about 10 grams of pure alcohol. In the UK a standard drink, also called a unit of alcohol, has about 8 grams of pure alcohol.]
