1531. Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for Justice when the second piece of legislation under the General Scheme of the Sale of Alcohol Bill, relating to the regulation of distance selling of alcohol, will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18918/25]
Jim O'Callaghan, Minister for Justice: The publication of the Spring Legislative Programme, on 18 February, set out the 21 Bills that have been prioritised for publication, and 29 Bills for drafting, in the current Dáil session.
The Spring Legislative Programme is the first legislative programme set by the new Government, with further commitments in the programme for Government to be prioritised in subsequent programmes. The Programme for Government commits to updating our licensing laws and in keeping with that commitment, the legislation will be advanced in due course.
