This one-hour seminar examined temporal, geographical and operational applications of used syringe analysis for discerning consumption trends among people who inject drugs in Sydney, Australia.
About the speaker: Mr Harrison Fursman is a PhD candidate within the Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Technology Sydney. His research investigates the utility of chemical analysis methods employed before and after injection in order to increase our understanding of injecting drug consumption. He has also worked on developing a portable near-infrared drug testing technology for applications in health contexts such as drug checking.
