This report is the result of an inquiry which the Northern Ireland (NI) All Party Group (APG) on Reducing Harm Related to Gambling undertook between December 2022 and January 2024, on public health approaches to tackling gambling-related harms in NI. Over 30 witnesses gave oral evidence across 13 sessions; 45 individuals and organisations submitted written evidence (see Appendices 2-4). Written evidence included personal accounts of gambling-related harm, syntheses of available research, and references to relevant peer-reviewed studies in the fields of gambling, psychology, public policy and health.
