This review constitutes a status report on those actions from January – June 2023. During this period, significant progress has been made in implementing actions identified in the Drogheda Implementation Plan, including:
Drug use
- In May 2023, a fixed site needle exchange service, resourced by the HSE, opened in the Red Door. In parallel, a drug related litter campaign, supporting the community as a whole, has been developed.
- A number of posts in HSE Addiction Services, serving Louth Meath and covering Drogheda have also now been filled. These include 2 x outreach workers; 1 x social care lead, 1 x social care project worker.
