Editorial - Scientific study serves to provide useful, generalizable and enduring knowledge. In addiction science that knowledge is often imprecise because of the complexity of the subject matter, but we should strive to make it as precise and accurate as possible....Ontologies are data structures that represent the world as made up of (1) uniquely defined entities and (2) their relationships with other entities. An ontology is being developed specifically for addiction science called the AddictO.
