Pg. 101 Drug testing during 2022:

 

In 2022, the Defence Forces Drugs Testing Team (DFDTT) conducted 1,015 individual tests. This equates to 11.08% of the DF strength. Random Drug Testing was conducted in 16 locations, testing 1,004 personnel. This represents 10.96% of the DF strength. The DFDTT conducted 11 target tests during the testing period. The 2022 tests includes 61 members of the Reserve Force, which represents 8.8% of RDF personnel, and 954 members of the PDF, which represents 11.27% of the PDF. At the end of the testing period 17 randomly selected individuals had a positive test recorded. This figure represents 1.67% of the numbers tested which is broadly in line with the general trend over the past number of years, as indicated in Chart 2.5 and 2.6. Further details are contained in Charts 2.5 and 2.6, along with comparisons with recent years.
