747. Deputy Aindrias Moynihan asked the Minister for Justice the number of mandatory intoxicant testing checkpoints nationally during 2021 and 2022 to date; the number of motorists that have tested positive for drugs at these checkpoints; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [37726/22]

Minister for Justice: As the Deputy will be aware, under the Garda Síochána Act 2005 (as amended), the Garda Commissioner is responsible by law for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána, including the enforcement of road traffic legislation. As Minister, I have no direct role in these matters.
