Wing See Yuen presented at the NDARC Webinar series on Thursday 8 September 2022. This webinar explored recent changes in young peoples’ experience of alcohol-related harm and how these harms develop in adolescence. Since the early 2000s, young people have been drinking less alcohol, and many are choosing not to drink at all. However, it is unclear whether this means that young people are now experiencing fewer harms related to alcohol use.
This one-hour webinar addressed the following questions: Have alcohol-related harms decreased in young people since the early 2000s? Of these recent generations of young people, who is still experiencing alcohol-related harm? How do alcohol-related harms develop and escalate in these recent generations of young people?
