Harm Reduction International (HRI) is a leading non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to reducing the negative health, social and legal impacts of drug use and drug policy. We promote the rights of people who use drugs and their communities through research and advocacy, to help achieve a world where drug laws and policies contribute to healthier, safer societies. We:
- Monitor the availability of health and social services for people who use drugs;
- Ensure that human rights are not violated in the name of drug control;
- Advocate for the funding of lifesaving harm reduction interventions;
- Convene the harm reduction community at our international conference.
