This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a central document developed by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) to allow the Council to follow a consistent mechanism to prepare evidence-based advice. This document describes the process by which the ACMD collects, analyses, summarises and presents different types of evidence in a consistent and transparent manner to lead to the formulation of recommendations.
