The Sláintecare Mid-Year Report outlines progress made in the first six months of 2019, with almost 100% of activities progressing as anticipated in the 2019 Action Plan. There are a total of 84 deliverables for the first half of 2019 of which 82 (98%) are on track. Two have been progressed with minor challenges (2%) and these projects are expected to be on course for their remaining deliverables by year-end.

The Sláintecare Action plan sets out detailed timeframes for 239 deliverables that are to be progressed in 2019 as the first year in the implementation of the Sláintecare vision, and firmly establishes a programmatic approach to the delivery of the Sláintecare Strategy.

Sláintecare will deliver a health and social care service that meets the needs of our population and attracts and retains the very best healthcare professionals, managers and staff. Over a ten-year period, we will deliver a universal health service that offers the right care, in the right place, at the right time, with a priority focus on developing primary and community services within a national policy context. The Sláintecare Action Plan for 2019 was published earlier this year.
