The DOVE clinic was set up to look after the specific needs of women who have or are at risk of blood and sexually transmitted bacterial and viral infections. This could be through drug use, unprotected sex, or any contact with infected blood or body fluid. Page 86
During 2015, 203 women booked into the DOVE clinic for their antenatal care. Of these:
65 were positive for Hepatitis B
55 were positive for Hepatitis C
24 were positive for HIV infection
52 women were known to be on prescribed methadone programs
