The overall aim of this study was to examine the level of public support in Ireland for alcohol screening in key health settings and to assess if alcohol treatment services are deemed available and seen as adequate. This is the first national survey which has sought to gauge the level of support and awareness of a range of alcohol treatment services in Ireland.
