The Recovery Context Inventory has been designed as a profiling and outcome tool to support personal mental health recovery and recovery-oriented service development and represents an innovation in e-mental health.

The measure allows people to comprehensively assess the presence of contextual factors in their lives which they consider important to their wellbeing and recovery, under the main headings of Personal Supports and Service Supports. In this way, the structure of the RCI adopts a whole life approach in facilitating a personal evaluation of a broad range of factors in a person’s life, including mental health services, that impact upon the personal recovery process
