Slightly higher numbers of HIV notifications are expected this year due to a change to reporting procedures following an outbreak among injecting drug users in Dublin.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) reported 203 new HIV diagnoses in the first half of the year, the same number as reported during the same period in 2014.
