“Is this medicine prohibited in my sport?” is a question that pharmacists may be asked when counselling on a prescription, OTC product or even a supplement. The answer to this question is found in the List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (“the List”), as published by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The “List” defines the drugs and methods prohibited for use by athletes, when they are prohibited and, in some cases, in which sports.
