This report serves both as a report on the specific drug situation in Ireland and as the Irish submission for the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction annual report on the state of the drugs problem in the European Union.

The first section outlines Irish drug policy with regard to legislation, administration and organisation, and new developments in the reporting year.
