This report presents the data and findings of the risk assessment on the new psychoactive substance, 2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-2-(ethylamino)cyclohexanone, that was conducted by the Scientific Committee of the EMCDDA. Concerns over this issociative drug in the European Union led to an assessment of the health and social risks posed by the substance in April 2014.

Methoxetamine is an arylcyclohexylamine substance which is chemically similar to ketamine and PCP and in common with these, has dissociative properties.
