This risk assessment guidance tool has been developed to support the implementation of the Health Service Executive’s (HSE’s) Best Practice Guidelines for Tobacco Management in the Mental Health Setting – February 2008 and as such should be read in conjunction with that publication. This guidance tool is aligned to the HSE’s Risk Assessment Process and Tool and meets the risk assessment requirements of the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005. This document is designed to support all HSE Service areas.
