Over the past four years, the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) has been working together with the Health Service Executive (HSE) and Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) to develop a Needle Exchange (NEX) Programme through community pharmacy in locations across Ireland where there is little or no NEX service available. This programme began late last year.
