The Case Management Guidebook has been devised to provide comprehensive guidance and support to professionals working in the field of homelessness and drugs, and is aimed at ensuring that a care and case management approach is used in the context of meeting diverse needs.
The guidebook is the result of an effective collaboration by the Homeless Agency Partnership, Progression Routes Initiative with support from the National Drug Strategy Team. The information and recommendations contained are embedded in a variety of Government and local strategies including: ‘The Way Home: A Strategy to Address Adult Homelessness 2008-2010’, ‘A Key to the Door, the Homeless Agency Partnership Action Plan on Homelessness 2007-2010’, ‘National Drugs Strategy 2009-2016 and the Report of the Working Group on Drugs Rehabilitation 2007’, all of which emphasise the importance of having in place effective care and case management strategies.
