The Irish Medical Organisation has called for a phasing out of alcohol licences in supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations. The organisation is also calling on the Government to legislate for a minimum pricing structure for alcohol. Meanwhile, the Fine Gael Senate leader has called for alcohol to be added to the remit of the National Drugs Strategy.
