Broomfield, Darren (2015) Drug treatment courts: refining successes and failures through participant narratives. The Irish Social Worker, Spring, pp. 36-40.

In this paper the author begins by commenting on the relationship between drug misuse and crime in Ireland. Then moves on to outlining the operations and study of drug treatment courts (DTCs) internationally. The paper will then focus on contextualising the operation of the Dublin DTC both from his own perspective as a probation officer working within the Court as well as the formal evaluations and research which has been conducted on the Court.
