This report aims to audit the Children's Court in light of children's rights. Observation of courts in Limerick, Cork, Waterford and Dublin took place between 2003-2004 using international and national guidelines of youth justice as a standard. A special emphasis was put on whether young people's rights, including their right to participate in the justice system, are being protected fully before the Children's Court.
