The purpose of this conference was to facilitate and provide a forum where Dublin Corporation and the communities which it services could meet with other relevant stakeholders such as the Garda Siochana and the Eastern Health Board in order to reach a consensus on dealing with the drug problem in Dublin. Papers were delivered under the following general headings: Central and local government perspectives; Community perspectives; Prevention and early intervention; Treatment; and Law.

Joan Byrne – Women and drugs – the experience of the SAOL Project
