This chapter presents an overview of drug-related data gathered by Irish law enforcement agencies such as the Gardai and Customs Service. Available information on charges for drug offences, the number and quantities or drug seizures, and the price and purity of drugs siezed is presented. Sources of supply and trafficking patterns are briefly covered. The author hightlights the need for research into drug-related enforcement issues and drug-related crime in Ireland.
